How to do the trial!

You can either record demos on lan or on a server.

Give a statement at the end of every demo that it is for Euroskillz. Example : "Euroskillz tryout". This is an obligation. We will NOT accept any demos not having this.

How to become [Ez|aM] - Allround Master

If you manage to complete all tryouts or all hard tryouts your tag will be

GENERAL INFORMATION

Note for the Concers.

As Euroskillz don't use the dizzyness effect, its not necessary to do the demos with dizzyness. You can do the demos on our servers or in Lan.

Note for the Jumpers

Smaller shortcuts are allowed. It is up to the Ez guild leaders to decide at any point what a small or a big shortcut is :). Some big ones may be blocked and some might become blocked. This is a big issue for all jumpers and we take it into concideration if you have any thoughts about this.
No checkpoints are allowed
No scripted bhop is allowed
The bhop tryout shall be done on the Ez Guild server where bhop scripts is blocked.
A demo containing to many failures will be rejected. The guild leaders can reject any demo that contains to many failures.

The climb trial can be done on any server, lan, the guild server or the pub Jump Skillz server.

How the demos SHALL be recorded

Make one demo for each jump on maps without speedruns (concmaps, rjump maps and pipe jumping maps)
Make one demo/map on trial maps with speedruns.
Make one demo/map on climb trial maps.
If you are doing a trial map consisting of 20 jumps, you do either 20 demos or for example j1-j5 if there are no failures in them.
Any demos submitted containing failures will NOT be approved. Why? Because we cant sit and watch 1 hour demos of someone trying over and over to make a jump.

Download the script and put it in your tfc folder.

Instructions how to record a demo using the recording script

When you want to record demos type
"exec trialrecord.cfg"
in your console.

Press F12 and type a name of the demo (type for example 'j1') and press enter. It will now record to j1.dem until you press F12 again.

If you fail, retry with F12 and type j1 again. If you succeed press F12 and type 'j2' and so on. When you are done with one map you can rename the dem files to concmap9_r-j1.dem, concmap9_r-j2-j5.dem and so on.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON FILE nameS OF DEMOS

Keep the file names of the dem files to max 11 characters.

Seems half-life has a limit after 12 characters I think and the file name will be cut and wont be replayed in TFC.

It works with only "playdemo demoname" but not as we prefer with

"startdemos demoname1.dem demoname2.dem".

Note for trainees who completed more than one tryout

If you are in [Ez|eC] and managed to complete the trial for [Ez|mC], your new tag will be [Ez|mC]Name.

If you managed to do the medium concing tryout and also the medium soldier tryout you can change your nick to [Ez|mC]Name or to [Ez|mS]Name or to [Ez|mC|mS]Name.

Its not neccessary to start with the tryout for easy concers. If you are good enough you can also complete the medium or hard concing trial.

Same goes for Soldier and Demoman

How to send completed demos

Find a hosting site like Sendspace and upload your zipped demos.

PM the download link to any of the guild leaders.

Demo names

To help us people who have to check demos after demos after demos, make our life easier by naming the demos properly. Two things to think of:

It should be no doubt what map and jump it is
Try and keep the names short.

The reason to keep it short is because we can check demos in batches but that only work if the demo names are short. 13-14 letters is ok.

Rules of Conduct

This guild is for people with no previous history of cheating.
It is a guild for people who takes their gaming seriously and want to improve their skills.
As a member you accept to not turn into a BIG HEAD and get a vocabulary consisting of only one word "noob". As a member you are an ambassadeur for both Euroskillz and as such expected to respect and honor fellow guild members and players alike.
Cheating will result in a perm ban from the guild.
