After some opinions from people that the surf settings are not very CS like on Euroskillz - Jumps Skillz I have changed this a bit to test. Basically the new settings makes it a bit easier to reach those annoying spots as your speed are increased. I looked at around on current cs 1.6 servers and there doesnt seem to be any real agreement on what is "right surf settings". Most important is the player speed as the civvies is 240 by default. If you dont surf a lot you wont notice any huge change. It should be easier to get started though.

The test will run until sunday and after that we can decide to use the old or the new settings.

Now it is easier to join us in the IRC chat channel without having to install an IRC client. Just click the IRC Web Chat link, chose a nick and connect. There is a lot you can't do with the IRC web chat that is possible with a normal IRC client but it works if you want to reach an admin fast or just connect and chill out for a while.

So for you who thinks mIRC is the axis of evil and hate spending long hours setting weird stuff up, Welcome to #euroskillz on Quakenet the easy way.

At last the [Ez] guild is proud to launch the new trials to the Ez guild, the bhop, climb and surf trials [Ez|eJ], [Ez|mJ] and [Ez|hJ]. To celebrate this we invite you to do live trials tonight at 85.114.130.78:1340 Euroskillz - Jump Skillz - www.euroskillz.eu.

We start with a warmup with the [Ez|eJ] trials and move on to [Ez|mJ] and if anyone is still awake after that we do the [Ez|hJ]. The first person to become [Ez|hJ] will be announced as Player of the Week in the Steam Community page.

All people who manage to do a full live trial tonight will become full Ez members and can join the ranks with the rest of the Ez members.

We will also hopefully be able to welcome some new leaders for the Ez guild.

p.s. For tonight scripted bhop will be prevented with a special plugin.

Released on the FF forum yesterday. A remake of the tfc map concmap_ice. Very high quality mapping by Tyrant of Black][ce's original map. Should provide some challenging jumps for the FF concers.

The map is still in beta as there are some few issues, but it is 99% working.

Inspired by so many other games I have added a class levelling system to Euroskillz Easy, Medium and Hard. It will be added to Euroskillz - Jump Skills to once everything seems to work ok.

When you say /skillme you will see your current class level. It is based on your collected points. Thats it for now but the possibilities are endless. Bonuses, unlockable powers, rewards ...

Now Euroskillz have SKILLING to ;). It should be something little extra for you who spent a lot of time attending to your stats. And for those of you who think you get these levels by killing, you are so wrong. To level up on Euroskillz you need to finish the maps and touch the end model to receive points.

I also fixed the "Last time you finished a map" to show the correct date.

One problem that you will notice is that the sum of collected points doesnt match if you sum up the points for your differant classes. The reason for this is adjustments done in the database since we started this 2006. The only solution would be a total reset, but I think that is to drastic.

Swarfega suggested to add a trivia channel to euroskillz. Said and done!

Whats Swarfega??? Whats IRC and wtf is Trivia??

Swarfega hosts the now famous and infamous Charlotte bot on Euroskillz irc channels. She functions as an engine to which differant plugins can be added. One of those are the trivia plugin BogusTrivia.

Just start trivia with .ton and stop it with .toff once you are in the channel. The trivia bot asks you questions you have to answer correct to get points. All points are saved.

So if no fun map is loaded join #euroskillz-trivia on Quakenet for some really high quality waste of time :).

Euroskillz - Jumps Skillz is down a while for debugging. There might be some spiking and crashes on the other servers meanwhile but I hope not to much. Should be up later tonight.

After a long debate the Ez guild leaders stands behind this decision. The two first allround masters have completed all 10 tryouts needed to become the first [Ez|aM]. This means Bloo and Emp masters concing, piping, rjumping and climbing in a way most of us would only dream about .

Bloo was technically first but Emp put on such a runner up effort to beat Bloo that he deserves his place in the spot lights.

If you can, and want, we would like you to come to the "85.114.130.78:1337 - Euroskillz [Ez|aM] Prize Ceremony" at 18.00 server time on sunday the 3rd of august when Bloo and Emp receives their [Ez|aM] tags.

The leaders from Ez will be there and some specially invited guests.

After the prize has been delivered we either change map or play on for the occasion a special map. Bloo and Emp are free to show off their skills for their fans, just do what they like, conc, rj, pipe.

While Bloo and Emp are concing away they will also compete with each other who can brag the best.

A map needs at least 100 votes to be able to appear in the Top 20 Maps page.

The map ranks for Euroskillz Easy, Medium and Hard and Euroskillz Fun have been running for years. Euroskillz Jump Skillz won't show any Top 20 maps soon as the server is so new. But keep ranking your favorite maps and they might appear there and get their well deserved medal :).

Tyrant asked me if he thought anyone would have any use for mapping avis. Sure, I said. So I have uploaded something that hopefully will be a nice thing to look forward to, a new mapping avi by Tyrant. If you think you know everyhing it's worth watching anyway. Tyrant is speedmapping more or less, and it's really enjoyable to watch someone who mapped for so long. And who done concmaps. Thx Tyrant and I hope there will be more.

I will not be explaining what I am doing I will just merely be showing you visually. Upon the future if you have
a request please drop that request off in the euroskillz community forums. I will do my best to stay ontop of it.

Added a useful enhanced map search plugin on all servers. With it you can search for a particular maps. We are closing up to 2000 custom maps. Not all are ready to be played but hopefully will be. So with this you can search for bhop, surf, conc, rj, pipe, climb maps or whatever.

After some intense shuffling of files back and forth Euroskillz now have TWO new servers. During the work on adding these a little accident occured with the webby news page. 4 months of news flashes automagically disappeared. Trolls maybe? Anyway, nothing very important got lost. Euroskillz is now a quite ripe old cheese with lot's of smelly files all over the place. So getting any order in this was a little challenge.

The purpose of the split was to give the jump skills players their own server namelly bhoppers, climbers, surfers, strafers and leave less skills related maps on Fun.

Same ip as our old Fun server namelly 85.114.130.78:1338. All the jump skills maps have been moved out from this server. So Fun is now host of dm, escape, airshot, weird ctf maps, skating, bowling and other obscure and pointless maps.

Ez - Jump Skillz now how 87 maps which are strafe, climb, surf and bhop maps. This is only the start. We have plenty of new mas to add after some checking and checkpointing of them. This is a quite labor intense work so we will add new maps in batches now and then. That's better than chucking 1000 maps into the system at once ^^.

We debated rather much if we should reset all stats or not but decided to keep it. But there will be many new maps to break speedruns on.

With all new servers comes new problems so please report what you find in the forum and I try and fix it as soon as I have time.

Both Sim and Ramon liked the idea of splitting the fun server in two new servers. Sim has done a tremendeous work helping to port CS maps to tfc. For anyone who tried this before you know the work involved. Anyway, Sim is not just a rapid climber, he also surprised me with his coding skills. Without his skills this would'nt have been possible.

Ramon has updated the checkpoint version of Skillsrank with some new Extras but also bug fixes and other new features. clipon has also been added to the Jump Skillz server so you can fly around and have a look at whats up ahead on the jumps.
